Terms of engagement

These terms apply to advisory work described on this site. A signed engagement letter controls if it conflicts with this page.

Who we are

IndexSignal Core Advisory practises from 38 Lrg Haji Taib 3, Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan, 50350, Malaysia. Contact: contact@indexsignal-core.digital, +60 3-4042 7869. We provide financial-audit advisory over applications used for fraud monitoring. We are not a licensed statutory auditor unless an engagement letter expressly appoints us in that capacity under Malaysian law.

What an engagement is

Work begins only when both parties have signed an engagement letter naming the client entity, the application, the period, the deliverable, the fee, and the team. Website descriptions, including informational prices, are invitations to treat. They are not offers and not a checkout.

Client responsibilities

You provide lawful access to the application, extracts, case evidence, ledgers, and bank records needed for the scope. You obtain any vendor or group approvals. You do not ask us to circumvent access controls, to alter live data, or to present findings as a statutory audit opinion unless that is the appointed work.

Independence and conflicts

We will decline or resign an engagement where a conflict would compromise the file — for example, if we designed the posting interface we are asked to audit. You must tell us about related-party vendors and parallel reviews.

Confidentiality

Workpapers, extracts, and findings are confidential. We may retain copies as required for professional records and Malaysian legal obligation. We do not use client names in public materials without written consent. Anonymised engagement notes on this site are stripped of identifying detail.

Intellectual property

You own the signed deliverable issued to you. We retain our methodology, templates, and prior knowledge. You may circulate the management letter inside your group; you may not republish it as our marketing.

Fees and taxes

Fees are stated in Malaysian ringgit in the letter, exclusive of SST where applicable. Invoices follow the stages in the letter (typically scoping, fieldwork, reporting). Payment is by bank transfer to the account on the invoice. This site does not collect cards or e-wallets.

Limitation of liability

Our work is advisory. It is based on information you supply and samples we agree. It is not a guarantee that examiners, external auditors, or a court will reach the same view. Liability under an engagement is limited to the fees paid for that letter, except where Malaysian law does not allow a limit (including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).

Governing law

These terms and each engagement letter are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Courts of Kuala Lumpur have exclusive jurisdiction, unless the letter names another Malaysian forum.

Changes

We may update this page for future visitors. Signed letters are not rewritten by a later website change.
